Every Child Counts in GCISD
If our school board gets into the wrong hands, their goal to return to only the four basics would gut our district. One candidate has (unlawful) ideas regarding the clustering of dyslexic & Special Ed students to save money. Another plans to drop “wants” and focus on “needs.” What does that mean? Becky opposes cutsContinue reading “Every Child Counts in GCISD”
Statement
I want to make this known in the clearest terms possible: I absolutely, unequivocally denounce the abhorrent, completely unacceptable behavior displayed at the Colleyville City Hall polls, towards a city council candidate. There is no justification nor tolerance for that, nor will I accept it from anyone associated with my campaign.
The Truth is Simple
The simplest answer is usually the correct answer, and the truth about GCISD is that we are a top-ranked school district that has prioritized cutting the tax rate, reducing Robin Hood and increasing teacher pay while providing a multitude of academic experiences for all students including Career and Tech certifications, GT and STEM Academy, CollegiateContinue reading “The Truth is Simple”
#CountOnBecky to Respect Our Teachers
For many, one important lesson from this past year was gaining an even deeper understanding and respect for the role of our dedicated teachers and campus support staff. Join me in thanking them for their hard work by voting to protect GCISD and preserve the reputation of our award winning district!
This year it’s not enough to just cast your ballot.
Make sure your friends and family vote too!

Families and businesses rely on our School Board (including Becky for 12 years) to find a good balance between tax rate and quality educational programs. So when challengers begin to discuss returning to core education and needs, notContinue reading “#CountOnBecky for Stewardship”
A Day in the Life of a Trustee
A day in the life of a trustee! Today’s “did you know” comes from the SAGE forum this evening. While about 20% of GCISD students are identified as GT, more than half of all students take some form of advanced academics, staring as early as 8th grade with Algebra I. Advanced academics are for everyone!Continue reading “A Day in the Life of a Trustee”
I will always fight for the reputation of our teachers and the excellent academics they deliver in GCISD.
I asked the Texas Education Association (TEA) for verification on false information attributed to them. Here is their response, and the real information on GCISD’s rating. I have been involved in our schools since my kids entered Kindergarten. I will always fight for the reputation of our teachers and the excellent academics they deliver inContinue reading “I will always fight for the reputation of our teachers and the excellent academics they deliver in GCISD.”
